  • Shipping: Base Shipping will be calculated once per order. If your shipping costs increase with quantity, please enter the price of extra shipping per item in the "Extra Shipping" field. For example, if you enter Base Shipping of $5 and Extra shipping of $1 and your buyer purchases 6 items, the total Shipping cost will be $10.

    Handling: Handling will be calculated once per order as a flat fee. If you enter a Handling of $1 and your buyer purchases 5 items, the total handling will remain $1. All costs that increase with quantity should be entered in the "Extra Shipping" field.

    Successful Payment URL: This is the destination to which you would like PayPal to send your customers when their payment has been successfully completed. This field can be any site on the Internet, for example, www.paypal.com. If you do not enter a Successful Payment URL, your customers will be sent to a PayPal jump page after completing payment.

    Receiving Email Address:
    This is the email alias that you would like to have your payments sent to. If you have more than one email address attached to your account, you will receive all correspondence related at the email address you choose here. In addition you can sort your payment history via the email address at which it was received. You may only select email addresses which have been confirmed.

    Logo Image URL
    If your image is not hosted on a secure (https) server, your buyers may see the following browser warning: "This page contains both secure and insecure items. Are you sure you would like to continue?"

    Place your cursor over any image on your website. Right click on it and choose "properties" from the selection menu. Highlight the image's address (URL) with your cursor, right click, and choose "Copy" from the menu.
    Netscape Navigator Users:

    Cancel URL: This is the destination to which you would like PayPal to send your customers if they cancel payment at any point in the payment flow. This field can be any site on the Internet, for example, www.paypal.com. If you do not enter a Cancel URL, your customers will be sent to the Successful Payment URL entered below.

    $2000 new user limit:
    For your protection, users who are new to PayPal's service can only spend $2000 through PayPal because they have not yet verified their account. To verify their account, a new user must confirm their email address and confirm a bank account.

    Reattempt on Failure
    If you choose "yes" for this option and the payment fails, the payment will be reattempted two more times. After the third failure, the subscription will be canceled. If you choose "no" and the payment fails, payment will not be reattempted and the subscription will be immediately canceled. Please see the Help Center for more information.

    Trial Periods
    You may enter up to two trial periods and rates for your subscription. To create a free trial period, enter an amount of 0. Trial periods can be entered as a number of days, weeks, months, or years.
    Example: Your subscription may be free for the first week, and $5 for the first two months after that.
    In Trial Period #1, you would enter:
    • Bill the subscriber now for $0
    • This trial period should last 1 week

    In Trial Period #2, you would enter:
    • Then bill the subscriber for $5
    • This trial period should last 2 months

    Recurring Basis
    Select "Yes" if you would like your subscribers to be billed on a recurring basis. This means that after the Billing Cycle entered above is complete, your subscribers' subscriptions will be automatically renewed unless a subscriber manually cancels his subscription. If you select "No," your subscriber's subscriptions will end after the first cycle is completed.
    Example: Your subscription is $50 per year.
    • In Subscription Price, you would enter: Bill the subscriber for $50
    • For "recurring basis" you would select: Yes
    • For "length of each billing cycle," you would enter: 1 year

    Billing Cycle
    This is the length of each billing cycle. If the rate recurs, payments will be made on this time period. Billing cycles can be entered as a number of days, weeks, months, or years.

    Definition of Units:
    • Days
    • Week = 7 days
    • Month = calendar month (same day of the month)
    • Year = calendar year (same day of the year)

    Currency
    To price items in currencies other than US dollars you must specify a <currency_code> for the desired currency, such as Euros -- for example:

    The values currently supported for <currency_code> are:
    • "CAD": Canadian Dollar (C$)
    • "EUR": Euro (€)
    • "GBP": Pounds Sterling (£)
    • "JPY": Japanese Yen (¥)
    • "USD": US Dollar ($)*
    * note: if <currency_code> field is omitted, it is assumed the item is priced in US Dollars.
