Using the Item List Pane

The Item List Pane shows a list of items under current category. It provides 4 different styles with various sorting options. Use the view button on the toolbar or the View menu to configure these options.

The following picture shows the looks of the four different list styles (a.k.a. view mode).

Besides the menu and the toolbar, you can use keyboard shortcuts, Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, Ctrl+3, and Ctrl+4 to switch between these views.

The item list pane also provides quick access to sorting functions. Click the arrow button next to the "swapping" button, to activate list pane sorting feature. For optimal use of the sorting feature, you'd better use the "expanded list" view mode.

To provide more intuitive view of sorted fields, MediaMan highlights those sorted fields and bring them to the front of the second line of the descriptions. Please note that the highlight feature is only available in "expanded-list" mode. If you didn't see any highlights, it should be that none of the items has a value in the field you were sorting. In this case, items wil be sorted by titles.

The item list pane supports drag-&-drop item organization. It's far more convenient than cut-&-paste operations. Take a look at the following animation to see how it is done.
