Start MediaMan via Start Menu -> MediaMan -> MediaMan if you have it installed using default settings.

You'll see a home page just like the above one. The home page contains a few task shortcuts, some brief information about what collection file you are currently using and its statistics data.

On the top side, there are the menu bar and the tool bar that issues commands to the program. Right below, there's a small grey area that shows the current selected category. On the left side, there are the category view and category information panel. Statistics information of the category will be displayed in this panel.

Before we move to the next level, let's take a look at the basic elements of the user interface.
