The StudioLine Photo Edition revolves around the image archive. It is the central repository for final, high-resolution versions of your images together with a record of any corrections, enhancements and tool settings that are in effect for each image. Images are organized in folders with searchable descriptors and keywords.
Take a moment to locate the various areas of the image archive screen and their function.
Click on any menu item to see a list of functions. Some menu entries may be grayed out, if they don't apply at the moment. With the menu open, press the F1 button on your keyboard to view the appropriate section of the Reference Guide.
Switch between the primary "Image Archive" mode and the "Page Editor" mode to preview, customize and publish ready-made web-galleries.
Displays the image archive path for the current folder.
Click on one of the entries in the drop-down list to quickly access recently used folders.
Click on the "Clear List" entry at the bottom of the list to clear the history list.
This indicator will flash a color, if StudioLine is still working on a function you have previously initiated. You can continue working with StudioLine, but some results may not be visible until background processing has completed.
Contains graphical buttons to frequently used functions. Some buttons may be grayed out, if they don't apply at the moment.
To delete objects or settings, drag them to the trash can.
Displays a list of sub-folders for the current image archive folder.
To locate an image, press the Search button.
To view the content of a folder, single-click the left mouse button on the folder’s icon.
To view a list of sub-folders, double-click the left mouse button on the folder’s icon.
To view the parent folder of the current folder, click the Up One Level button.
To add a folder, press the New Folder button.
To delete a folder, drag it to the trashcan.
To rename a folder or to see a list of other available functions, click the right mouse button on the folder's icon.
The workspace displays preview images (thumbnails) for the content of the current image archive folder. Display options, such as the arrangement, size and order of preview images can be customized for each folder. Simply access the context menu by clicking the right mouse button over an empty area of the workspace.
To set certain default options, select Preferences from the menu bar and then choose Image Archive or Image Archive Background.
The QuickStep bar walks new StudioLine users through common tasks. It is the most effective way to get started with StudioLine.
If the QuickStep Bar does not appear, choose Show QuickStep Bar from the Preferences menu.
