Settings Panel Context Menus

These context menus appear when pressing the right mouse button on the Copy or Lock buttons of the panels for image tools, descriptors and other object specific settings. The Copy and Lock buttons are used to copy settings from a source object to one or multiple target objects.

Copy Settings

Copies the settings from the respective panel to all selected target objects.

This is equivalent to clicking the left mouse button on the Copy button.

Reset Settings

This function discards the settings.

Note: Some panels have settings that cannot be reset, e.g., in StudioLine a background will always have “some” color – even that color is plain white.

Lock Settings on Original Selection

Normally, the settings displayed in the panel always reflect the currently selected object.

When trying to copy settings from one “source” object to other “target” object or objects, it can be helpful to first “lock” the settings on the “source” object, before selecting the target objects. This way, the settings will not change the moment the target objects are selected.

This function is equivalent to clicking the Lock button with the left mouse-button. Repeated clicking will toggle the “Lock” function on and off.
