Position Anchor

Normally, the reference point for objects is the top left corner of the page. But sometimes, the design of a page calls for a title to be centered at a given distance over the container, or navigation buttons are suppose to line up below the bottom of the container. By anchoring these objects to the container, they will maintain their relative positions, even if the container is moved or its dimensions change.

Anchor objects to container

If selected, the object is anchored to the container.

If not selected, the object is anchored to the top left corner of the page.

Choose Reference Point

Select on of the four corners, four midpoints or the center of the container as a reference point for the object.

If the chosen reference point changes position, the anchored object will be shifted appropriately.

Freeze Vertically

If the chosen reference point changes its horizontal position, the anchored object will be shifted appropriately. A change in vertical position has no effect.

Freeze Horizontally

If the chosen reference point changes its vertical position, the anchored object will be shifted appropriately. A change in horizontal position has no effect.
