Traffic Circulation Plans for Spectator Travel

Stone Mountain Park

The Stone Mountain Park venue will stage three competition events between Tuesday, 23 July and Saturday, 3 August 1996. Buses and cars traveling to and from the spectator park and ride lot located at Stone Mountain Airport are expected to begin two hours prior to the start of a competition event and continue for two hours following its conclusion. Therefore, traffic circulation and the degree of congestion in and around the venue will be influenced largely by the timing of these events.

Tennis Venue: Stone Mountain Park
Dates: Tuesday, 23 July through Saturday, 3 August, 1996 (12 Days)
Competition times: 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

Archery Venue: Stone Mountain Park
Dates: Sunday, 28 July, through Friday, 2 August, 1996 (6 Days)
Competition Times: 9 a.m.-12 a.m. and 2 p.m.-5 p.m.

Cycling - Track Venue: Stone Mountain Park (Velodrome)
Dates: Wednesday, 24 July through Sunday, 28 July, 1996 (5 Days)
Competition Times: 9 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.- 7 p.m.

Georgia International Horse Park

The Georgia International Horse Park venue will stage two competition events between Sunday, July 21 and Sunday, 4 August, 1996. Buses and cars traveling to and from several spectator park and ride lots are expected to begin two hours prior to the start of a competition event and continue for two hours following its conclusion. Therefore, traffic circulation and the degree of congestion in and around the venue will be influenced largely by the timing of these events.
