Ocoee Whitewater Center

Slalom events in canoe/kayak will take place at this spectacular setting in the Cherokee National Forest in Polk County, Tennessee, just across the Georgia/Tennessee border. The Ocoee Whitewater Center will provide the first natural whitewater course in Olympic history and includes a permanent course for future competitions. The center is being constructed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service and will be leased by ACOG for the Olympic competition. Athletes and officials will be housed at a satellite Olympic Village at Lee College in nearby Cleveland, Tennessee.
