Shootout Determines Silver in Women's Shooting - Air Pistol Final

In the first shootout of the events at Wolf Creek, Marina LOGVINENKO (RUS) and Mariya GROZDEVA (BUL) fought brilliantly for the silver medal in the women's air pistol. Both finished the final with a score of 488.5, and shot an additional shot to determine the winner of the medal.

According to GROZDEVA, the pressure is not what made her shoot a 9.9, which gave her the bronze medal. "I felt good, I didn't feel any nervousness or anything," she said. "If I concentrated more, it would've been a better shot."

LOGVINENKO, who was in first place going into the final with a score of 390, said she did not think about any lead she had over the rest of the competitors. "I didn't think about yesterday, I just thought about today," she said. "The last shot was very difficult for me and I don't know how it made it."
