Men's Individual Finals

Bullseye for USA's HUISH!

Justin HUISH (USA) claimed the gold medal in the men's individual archery finals this afternoon defeating Magnus PETERSSON of Sweden. All of HUISH's 12 arrows in his medal-winning round were in the gold 9 and 10 rings. The 21-year-old HUISH defeated Paul VERMEIREN of Belgium 112 to 103 to set the stage for the gold.

HUISH, on the brink of elimination in his quarterfinal match against Michele FRANGILLI (ITA), captured the win in the second shot of the tie-breaker to advance to the semifinals.

PETERSSON earned his way into the match by defeating OH Kyo-Moon (KOR) 112 to 109 in the semifinals.

OH set an Olympic record of 115 in his win over VERMEIREN to came back and win the Bronze medal.

Medalists: Justin HUISH (USA), Magnus PETERSSON (SWE), OH Kyo-Moon (KOR).

HUISH on what he is going to do with his gold medal: "I will wear it everywhere I go. I can't believe I won."
