Olympic History
A relatively new sport on the Olympic Programme, synchronized swimming has had
only three countries win medals: the Canada, Japan and United States. Japanese
swimmers have won all six Olympic bronze medals awarded in the sport, with
Canada and the United States garnering all of the silver and gold medals.
| An estimated 5.3 million visted Centennial Olympic Park between opening day - 13 July - and closing day - 4 August, making the park the most single most visited Olympic site during the Games. |
