Introduction

unitConv is an easy to use unit converter with a graffiti-free user interface. More than 50 predefined units in 7 categories cover a wide range of conversions.

Installation

Run either the Windows or Macintosh version of the PalmPilot Install Tool. Select the prc file provided with this release and the next time you HotSync, the application will be loaded into your PalmPilot.

This application takes about 17 kb of RAM and runs on any PalmPilot.

Usage

To convert a value from one unit to another:

   1.    Select the category
To display the popup list of categories either click on the displayed item or click on the title bar 'Categories'.
 
2. Select the units
Select the source and destination unit from the popup lists.
 
3. Enter the number you'd like to convert
Use the provided numeric keyboard on the screen to enter the number.
 
4. Tap the CONV button
... and the result of the conversion will be display in the second number field.

The accuracy of the conversion depends on the value of the result. If the result of a conversion is greater or equal than 1.000, unitConv displays it with 2 digits precision. If the result is lesser than 1.000, up to 5 digits precision are displayed. The maximum length of the value you can enter is 8 digits.

Registration


PalmAdd applications for the PalmPilot are distributed as shareware. You can use the applications with all features for a trial period of 30 days. The applications do not expire but when you continue using them and you're 100% satisfied you have to register. The registered versions have no shareware reminder screens.

Bugfixes and ALL updates will be free for registered users.
