Person Type: Civilians
Name: Lauren Kyte
Eye Color: Brown
Hair Color: Brown
Sex: Female

History: Never emotionally close to her own family, Kyte became like a daughter to her employer Howard Graves. In 1993, he expressed to her his regret in developing illegal contracts with militant Middle-Eastern groups. Graves was murdered soon afterward, leaving Kyte unprotected with his secrets. Yet Kyte contends that Graves did protect her after his death as a spiritual entity.

Late one night Kyte was assaulted while withdrawing money from an ATM. Kyte's assailants were discovered dead. Their throats had been crushed from the inside with no external signs of trauma. An unexplained high electrostatic residual charge ran throughout their bodies and lasted for a number of hours after somatic death. This incident attracted Agts. Mulder and Scully to the case. They identified the men as members of the Isfahan, one of the groups Graves and his business partner, Robert Dorlund, had been dealing with before Graves's death. Kyte was later key in the discovery of information crucial to the arrest and conviction of Robert Dorlund in illegal arms trafficking and the contract killing of Howard Graves.
