StringWriter Methods
The methods of the StringWriter class are listed below. For a complete list of StringWriter class members, see the StringWriter Members topic.
Public:
Close (inherited from TextWriter) |
Closes the current writer and releases any system resources associated with the writer. |
Equals (inherited from Object) |
Determines whether the specified Object is the same instance as the current Object. Subclasses are expected to override this method to support value equality (not reference equality). |
Flush (inherited from TextWriter) |
Clears all buffers for the current writer and causes any buffered data to be written to the underlying device. |
GetHashCode (inherited from Object) |
Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table. |
GetStringBuilder |
Returns the underlying StringBuilder. |
GetType (inherited from Object) |
Gets the Type of the Object. |
ToString |
Returns a string containing the characters written to the current StringWriter so far. |
Write (inherited from TextWriter) |
Overloaded. Writes the given data type to a text stream. |
WriteLine (inherited from TextWriter) |
Overloaded. Writes a line terminator and other characters as specified by the overloaded parameters. |
Protected:
Finalize (inherited from Object) |
Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by the Garbage Collector (GC). This method may be ignored by the runtime; therefore, necessary cleanup operations should be done elsewhere. |
MemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) |
Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. |
