Delegate Methods

The methods of the Delegate class are listed below. For a complete list of Delegate class members, see the Delegate Members topic.

Public:

BindToContext Binds the Delegate to a context.
Clone Creates a shallow copy of the Delegate.
Combine Overloaded. Combines the invocation lists of the specified multicast Delegate instances.
CreateDelegate Overloaded. Creates a Delegate of the specified Type.
DynamicInvoke Invokes the method, represented by the Delegate, dynamically (late-bound).
Equals Determines if the specified object and the singlecast Delegate share the same target, method and invocation list.
GetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
GetInvocationList Returns the invocation list of the Delegate.
GetObjectData Implements the ISerializable interface and returns the data needed to serialize the Delegate.
GetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the Object.
Remove Removes a Delegate from the invocation list of another Delegate.
ToString (inherited from Object) Returns a String that represents the current Object.

Protected:

CombineImpl When overridden in a derived class, combines the invocation lists of the specified multicast Delegate with the current multicast Delegate.
DynamicInvokeImpl Invokes the method, represented by the Delegate, dynamically (late-bound).
Finalize (inherited from Object) Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by the Garbage Collector (GC). This method may be ignored by the runtime; therefore, necessary cleanup operations should be done elsewhere.
GetMethodImpl Gets the static method of the class represented by the Delegate.
MemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
RemoveImpl Removes a Delegate from the invocation list of another Delegate.
