Match Methods

The methods of the Match class are listed below. For a complete list of Match class members, see the Match Members topic.

Public:

Equals (inherited from Object) Determines whether the specified Object is the same instance as the current Object. Subclasses are expected to override this method to support value equality (not reference equality).
GetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
GetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the Object.
Group Overloaded.
NextMatch Returns a new Match with the results for the next match, starting at the position at which the last match ended (at the character beyond the last matched character).
Result Returns the expansion of the passed replacement pattern. For example, if the replacement pattern is ?$1$2?, Result returns the concatenation of Group(1).ToString() and Group(2).ToString().
Synchronized Returns a Match instance equivalent to the one supplied that is safe to share between multiple threads.
ToString (inherited from Capture)

Protected:

Finalize (inherited from Object) Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by the Garbage Collector (GC). This method may be ignored by the runtime; therefore, necessary cleanup operations should be done elsewhere.
GetGroup
GetGroupImpl Caches the Group object.
MemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
