Encoding Methods

Overloaded. Obtains the number of bytes required to encode a specified character array. |
GetBytes |
Overloaded. Returns a byte array containing the encoded representation of the given character array. |
GetCharCount |
Overloaded. Returns the number of characters required to decode an array of bytes. |
GetChars |
Overloaded. Decodes a range of bytes in an array into an array of characters. |
GetDecoder |
Returns a decoder object for this instance of encoding. |
GetEncoder |
Returns an encoder object for this instance of encoding. The encoder object can be used to encode a sequence of characters into bytes. |
GetEncoding |

GetHashCode (inherited from Object) |
Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table. |
GetMaxByteCount |
When overridden in a derived class, returns the maximum number of bytes required to encode a given number of characters. |
GetMaxCharCount |
When overridden in a derived class, returns the maximum number of characters produced by decoding a given number of bytes. |
GetString |
Overloaded. Decodes the specified byte array into a string. |
GetType (inherited from Object) |
Gets the Type of the Object. |
ToString (inherited from Object) |
Returns a String that represents the current Object. |
Protected:
BufferOverflow |
Returns an ArgumentException with an error message indicating a conversion buffer overflow. Subclasses can use this method when throwing an exception to indicate a buffer overflow. |
Finalize (inherited from Object) |
Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by the Garbage Collector (GC). This method may be ignored by the runtime; therefore, necessary cleanup operations should be done elsewhere. |
MemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) |
Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. |
