ASCIIEncoding Methods

The methods of the ASCIIEncoding class are listed below. For a complete list of ASCIIEncoding class members, see the ASCIIEncoding Members topic.

GetByteCount Overloaded. [To be supplied.]
GetBytes Overloaded. [To be supplied.]
GetCharCount Overloaded. [To be supplied.]
GetChars Overloaded. [To be supplied.]
GetDecoder (inherited from Encoding) Returns a decoder object for this instance of encoding.
GetEncoder (inherited from Encoding) Returns an encoder object for this instance of encoding. The encoder object can be used to encode a sequence of characters into bytes.
GetHashCode (inherited from Object) Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table.
GetMaxByteCount Gets the maximum number of bytes required to encode a specified number of characters.
GetMaxCharCount Gets the maximum number of characters produced by decoding a specified number of bytes.
GetString (inherited from Encoding) Overloaded. Decodes the specified byte array into a string.
GetType (inherited from Object) Gets the Type of the Object.
ToString (inherited from Object) Returns a String that represents the current Object.

Protected:

Finalize (inherited from Object) Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by the Garbage Collector (GC). This method may be ignored by the runtime; therefore, necessary cleanup operations should be done elsewhere.
MemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.
