AssemblyName Members
Public:
Constructor
Properties
CodeBase |
This read/write property returns and sets the location of the assembly. The location is a URL. |
Configuration |
This read/write property returns and sets the configuration of the assembly. The value "Retail" is predefined, and would be the configuration provided by the assembly cache manager's binding services if no specific configuration is requested. Otherwise, the configuration may be set to any string value. |
CultureInfo |
This read/write property returns and sets the culture of the assembly. |
DefaultAlias |
This read/write property returns and sets the default alias to be used by referencing assemblies. This allows a friendly default alias to be provided in cases where the name itself is not friendly. For example, in COM interoperability, the generated assembly name will be the GUID of the type library, whilst the default alias will be the friendly type library name. If null, then the name would be used as the default alias. |
Description |
This read/write property returns and sets a short description summarizing the nature and purpose of the assembly. |
Flags |
This read/write property returns and sets the attributes of the assembly. |
FullName |
This read-only property returns the full name of the assembly. |
HashAlgorithm |
This read/write property returns and sets the hash algorithm to use for hashing the files within the assembly. |
KeyPair |
This read/write property returns and sets the public and private cryptographic key pair generated by the originator of the assembly. |
Name |
This read/write property returns and sets the simple human-readable name of the assembly. |
Processor |
This read-write property gets or sets the processors supported by the assembly. |
Title |
This read/write property returns and sets the "friendly name" of the assembly. It is expected that Name is a short name, that is a valid language identifier, and Title then provides a friendly name, that could include spaces, etc. For example, Name = "comdlg", Title = "Microsoft Common Dialog Control". It is not expected that the title would include the version. |
Version |
This read/write property returns and sets the major, minor, revision and build of the assembly. |
VersionCompatibility |
This read/write property returns and sets the information related to the assembly's compatibility with other assemblies, indicating, for example, if it cannot execute side-by-side with other versions (e.g. due to conflicts over a device driver). |
Methods
Clone |
Make a copy of this AssemblyName object. |
Equals (inherited from Object) |
Determines whether the specified Object is the same instance as the current Object. Subclasses are expected to override this method to support value equality (not reference equality). |
GetAssemblyHash |
Get the hash value of the file containing the assembly manifest. |
GetAssemblyName |
Get the AssemblyName for a given file. |
GetHashCode (inherited from Object) |
Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table. |
GetOperatingSystems |
Get the operating systems supported by the assembly. |
GetOriginator |
Get the public key identifying the originator of the assembly. |
GetProcessors |
Get the processors supported by the assembly. |
GetType (inherited from Object) |
Gets the Type of the Object. |
SetAssemblyHash |
Sets the hash value of the file containing the assembly manifest. |
SetOperatingSystems |
Sets the operating systems supported by the assembly. |
SetOriginator |
Set the public key identifying the originator of the assembly. |
SetProcessors |
Sets the processors supported by the assembly. |
ToString |
Get the full name of the assembly. |
Protected:
Methods
Finalize (inherited from Object) |
Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by the Garbage Collector (GC). This method may be ignored by the runtime; therefore, necessary cleanup operations should be done elsewhere. |
MemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) |
Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. |
