Hashtable Methods
The methods of the Hashtable class are listed below. For a complete list of Hashtable class members, see the Hashtable Members topic.
Public:
Add |
Adds an entry with the specified key and value into the Hashtable. |
Clear |
Removes all entries from the Hashtable. |
Clone |
Creates a shallow copy of the Hashtable. |
Contains |
Determines if the Hashtable contains a specific key. |
ContainsKey |
Determines if the Hashtable contains a specific key. |
ContainsValue |
Determines if the Hashtable contains a specific value. |
CopyTo |
Copies the Hashtable values into a one-dimensional Array instance at the specified index. |
Equals (inherited from Object) |
Determines whether the specified Object is the same instance as the current Object. Subclasses are expected to override this method to support value equality (not reference equality). |
GetEnumerator |
Returns an enumerator which can be used to iterate through the Hashtable. |
GetHashCode (inherited from Object) |
Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table. |
GetObjectData |
Implements the ISerializable interface and returns the data needed to serialize the Hashtable. |
GetType (inherited from Object) |
Gets the Type of the Object. |
OnDeserialization |
Implements the ISerializable interface and raises the deserialization event when the deserialization is complete. |
Remove |
Removes the entry with the specified key from the Hashtable. |
Synchronized |
Returns a synchronized (thread-safe) wrapper for the Hashtable. |
ToString (inherited from Object) |
Returns a String that represents the current Object. |
Protected:
Finalize (inherited from Object) |
Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by the Garbage Collector (GC). This method may be ignored by the runtime; therefore, necessary cleanup operations should be done elsewhere. |
GetHash |
Returns the hash code for the specified key. |
KeyEquals |
Compares a specific Object with a specific key in the Hashtable. |
MemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) |
Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. |
