BinaryWriter Methods
The methods of the BinaryWriter class are listed below. For a complete list of BinaryWriter class members, see the BinaryWriter Members topic.
Public:
Close |
Closes the current BinaryWriter and releases any system resources associated with it. |
Equals (inherited from Object) |
Determines whether the specified Object is the same instance as the current Object. Subclasses are expected to override this method to support value equality (not reference equality). |
Flush |
Clears all buffers for the current writer and causes any buffered data to be written to the underlying device. |
GetHashCode (inherited from Object) |
Serves as a hash function for a particular type, suitable for use in hashing algorithms and data structures like a hash table. |
GetType (inherited from Object) |
Gets the Type of the Object. |
Seek |
Sets the position within the current stream. |
ToString (inherited from Object) |
Returns a String that represents the current Object. |
Write |
Overloaded. Writes a value to the current stream. |
WriteString |
Writes a length-prefixed string to this stream in the BinaryWriter's current Encoding and advances the current position of the stream in accordance with the Encoding used and perhaps the particular characters being written to the stream. |
Protected:
Finalize (inherited from Object) |
Allows an Object to attempt to free resources and perform other cleanup operations before the Object is reclaimed by the Garbage Collector (GC). This method may be ignored by the runtime; therefore, necessary cleanup operations should be done elsewhere. |
MemberwiseClone (inherited from Object) |
Creates a shallow copy of the current Object. |
