Arrays

An array is a data structure that contains a number of variables called the elements of the array. The array elements are accessed through computed indexes. C# arrays are zero indexed; that is, the array indexes start at zero. All the array elements must be of the same type, which is called the element type of the array. Array elements can be of any type, including an array type. An array can be a single-dimensional array, or a multidimensional array. Array types are reference types derived from the abstract base type System.Array.
