In some dire cases it may be necessary to reset a policy to the out-of-the-box defaults after some hard to track policy changes created undesirable side effects. In such cases use the following syntax to reset a policy:
Caspol -reset
Note that the reset can be undone using the –recover option if no further policy changes were done after the –reset call. The –machine and –user options can be used to specify which policy level should be reset. For instance the below command resets the machine policy:
Caspol –machine -reset
