StrongNameIdentityPermission

This permission defines the cryptographically strong name of the assembly. Identity consists of two parts: the strong name key, and the simple name part. The strong name key part is required and must match exactly to satisfy the permission. The identity permission is satisfied by an exact strong name key match plus simple name part match as described below.

The simple name part is specified as a string of the standard form runtime simple name format – for example, System.Security.Permissions – possibly with a terminal wildcard denoted by ‘*’ that matches additional subdivisions of the namespace. Some examples follow to define allowed forms more fully:

* Wildcard matches all simple names (for strong name key)
Microsoft.Office.* Wildcard matches names beginning Microsoft.Office
Microsoft.Office.Word Specific simple name
Micro* Invalid: wildcard must be a simple name component
*.Office Invalid: wildcard must be last position only

Notes:
