Extreme caution should be exercised when deleting code groups since this may have strong effects on security. When deleting code groups with child code groups, it should be noted that all the child code groups are deleted as well. It should also be noted that at this point there is no way to copy part of the code group hierarchy to another part or another code group hierarchy. So deleting a parent code group most definitely destroys any security behavior that was gleaned from the child hierarchy of the deleted code group.
Code groups can be deleted using the –remgroup option. Below is the syntax for this option:
Caspol –remgroup label
The example below shows the deletion of the code group labeled 1.1.2.
