Microsoft Packages Reference

The following Microsoft packages are in the Microsoft SDK for Java:

com.ms.activeX Package provides access to Microsoft® ActiveX® controls.

com.ms.awt Package provides access to Microsoft® Win32® window-management and graphics features.

com.ms.com Package provides access to Component Object Model (COM) services from Java.

com.ms.debug Package contains routines for debugging the Microsoft virtual machine.

com.ms.directX Package provides access to Microsoft® DirectX® services and features.

com.ms.dll Package provides additional support for Microsoft® J/Direct™, the technology that allows access to Microsoft® Windows® DLLs.

com.ms.ie Package provides the classes and interfaces needed by Java programs and applets to access and host the web browser for Microsoft® Windows®.

com.ms.io Package provides access to file dialog boxes, specialized input and output streams, and a class for manipulating path strings.

com.ms.io.clientstorage Package provides access to client storage management and enforcement of client storage limitations.

com.ms.lang Package provides access to Microsoft® Win32® system-level features.

com.ms.license Package provides classes that support Java object licensing files.

com.ms.net.wininet Package contains implementations of URL sockets.

com.ms.object Package provides classes and interfaces used to facilitate data transfer.

com.ms.object.dragdrop Package provides classes and interfaces for implementing visual drag-and-drop operations.

com.ms.security Package provides access to classes that control the security system.

com.ms.security.auditing Package provides an interface for supplying information about an audited security request to a security auditor.

com.ms.security.permissions Package provides access to classes that represent permission and request objects that are used to perform security checks.

com.ms.service Package provides access to Microsoft® Windows NT® system services.

com.ms.util Package provides access to version control, task manager, and timer services from Java.

com.ms.util.InputMethod Package provides access to Input Method Editor (IME) Java components.

com.ms.vm Package provides a class that implements a weak reference to an object. A weak reference tracks an object without preventing it from being garbage-collected.

com.ms.wfc.app provides classes that encapsulate Windows application operations, such as threads, messaging, and access to the Clipboard and the registry.

com.ms.wfc.core provides core component model classes.

com.ms.wfc.data provides basic data access using the ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) object model. Also provides classes that support data formatting.

com.ms.wfc.data.ui provides classes that implement and support data-bound controls.

com.ms.wfc.html provides access to the Dynamic HTML object model from Java classes. This includes both client and server applications.

com.ms.wfc.io provides classes for working with data streams.

com.ms.wfc.ui provides user interface component classes.

com.ms.wfc.util provides miscellaneous utility classes.

com.ms.win32 Package provides direct, low-overhead access to commonly used Windows APIs. These classes use the J/Direct feature.

com.ms.xml.dso Package provides a Data Source Object (DSO) applet class that can be used to provide data for data binding using Microsoft® XML files.

com.ms.xml.om Package provides classes that implement the Microsoft® XML Object Model in Java.

com.ms.xml.parser Package provides the Microsoft® XML Parser, which is a validating XML parser written in Java.

com.ms.xml.util Package provides base classes for Microsoft® XML object technology, including input and output stream objects specifically designed for XML.
