You can view the current distribution units held by the Java Package Manager using the Downloaded Program Files shell extension provided by Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later. To use this feature, open Internet Explorer and select the %Windir%\Downloaded Program Files directory in the Address box. This displays all downloaded components. Each Java distribution unit is listed with a J icon. If you select the Details option from the View menu, the display will also show the size and version number of each distribution unit. You can remove distribution units from the system by right-clicking an entry in the display and selecting Remove. Double-clicking an entry displays its Properties window, which shows the packages that are installed and the namespaces where they are stored. For example:
