The VM Uninstaller removes the Microsoft VM from a computer. You can then install previous versions of the Microsoft VM with no version conflicts.
Use the following command to run the VM Uninstaller:

To use the VM Uninstaller
Warning Some Java-dependent applications may require reinstallation after running the VM Uninstaller. Systems running Internet Explorer 4.0x require Microsoft VM version 3167 or later to function correctly.
Windows will restart to ensure that no applications are running Java.
If you are sure Java is not active, click Cancel and rerun with the noreboot option.
Before executing, the VM Uninstaller checks what’s shown in the following table.

The VM Uninstaller removes registry keys that were installed with the Microsoft VM and other files that were installed by Microsoft applications. The VM Uninstaller also displays the registry keys that cannot be removed. In this case, you can choose to continue or cancel the process.
You can uninstall without rebooting by using the noreboot option.
You can also combine command-line options. For example, to disable warning messages and uninstall without rebooting, use the following command:
