The Cabinet File Signing Utility (signcode) signs a cabinet file with Java permissions. This gives developers detailed control over the security restrictions placed on their applet when it is used over the Internet or an intranet.
Use the following command to run signcode:
signcode [options] <filename>
options | One or more signcode options. |
filename | Cabinet file to be signed. |
/a /c /cn /i /j /jp /k /ky /n /p /r /s /sp /spc /t /tr /tw /v /x /y /$ /?
To add the Java permission information into the signature, add the /j JavaSign.dll option to signcode. You may also specify the /jp option for finer control over the exact permissions in the signature.
Note To sign with an SPC file, the required options are /spc and /v if your private key is in a PVK file. If you private key in is a registry key container, /spc and /k are the required options.
Command-line options can be used with either a forward slash (/) or a hyphen (-).
