In a suprising move, the National Center for Food Group Determination has decided that the minimum daily requirement of vitamin C is fourteen pounds. Another odd decision involves the recommended percentage of calories that should come from fat, which has been raised from 18% to 94%. They also recommend that the remaining 6% of calories come from gristle. The food pyramid itself involves a complicated payment scheme, whereby the food items at the top of the pyramid "take" a percentage of the nutritional value from any other food groups that they brought into the pryamid. |
