AS THE WORLD TURNS
As The World Turns (ATWT) presents stories of love and romance
intertwined with strong, family-based relationships. This show has addressed topical
issues such as alcoholism, Alzheimer's disease and interracial relationships. ATWT
takes place in the fictional Midwestern town of Oakdale and began its 40th season in
the fall of 1996. ATWT won the Daytime Emmy for outstanding dramatic series in
1986-1987. Former cast members include Meg Ryan and Marisa Tomei. ATWT airs weekdays
on CBS.
