Illustrated below is a postcard featuring the rare Siberian tiger. The Russian stamp is real, and cancelled on the first day of issue.

This card forms part of a Russian issue in WWFÕs Conservation Stamp Collection, to which more than 40,000people Ð philatelists and wildlife enthusiasts of every age Ð subscribe. This is the worldÕs largest thematic stamp collection: more than 165countries have already participated in it, and up to 16sets are added each year. The latest issue, from Indonesia, features the Javan and Sumatran rhinos. Every species depicted is at risk of extinction in the country of issue.

Each set includes first day covers, mint stamps, postcards, drawings and informative text by wildlife specialists. The stamps are valid for postage in the country of issue and the text is available in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norw egian, Finnish, Thai, Japanese, and Chinese.
