buttons Saving habitat alone is not enough to ensure the survival of some critically endangered animals. Many species, such as sea turtles, parrots, the mountain gorilla, and bears, have already been pushed to the brink of extinction by loss of habitat, hunting, and because of the massive international trade in wildlife and wildlife products.

The Living Planet Campaign will mobilize international action to save three critically endangered species: the Tiger, the African Black Rhino, and the Giant Panda. these three species are flagships for some of Earth's richest ecosystems. They are among the rarest and most endangered mammals, and are important symbols for the Living Planet.
