Some Possible Solutions to The Threats

The tiger crisis is not easily solved, and we are realistic enough to know that WWF alone cannot save the species. But if the governments and people of tiger range states want to conserve these animals, WWF and other conservation groups working at local, national and international levels can help implement actions to achieve this goal.

Some solutions are to be found in WWF's strategy for 1998 and the list of projects accompanying this report details direct and indirect actions taken to help governments and their people save the world's tigers. The following accounts show how, despite working in sometimes difficult and trying situations, we and our partners are succeeding in addressing the immediate threats.
