We are currently remounting and consistency checking the last group of filesystems. Our estimated time for restoration of service is approximately 2pm EDT.System status at 10.30am EDT, 31 Sept 1998:
Our engineers now have our main backend NFS server online. They need to remount several sets of filesystems and we will need to perform a consistency check on our filesystems. Our engineers are working on a hardware problem which appears to have been caused by the power outage. We may not be able to get significant resolution until we can get a Sun engineer on site later this morning. Our engineers have located the problem which was preventing our backend network from coming up and are currently working to rectify it. We will be posting a further update shortly.

Due to an earlier complete power outage at the Chantilly Data Center, FortuneCity is currently offline.
Engineers are currently working on this problem and as soon as we have an ETA on service being restored we will post details.
