The DIY "Adjustable Height" Basketball Goal Frame Project is the DIY solution for keeping the goal height exactly where it's needed for your growing youngster. It has an adjustable vertical span of over 24 inches. That's just right for raising and lowering the goal height between 8 feet and 10 feet. All it takes is a socket wrench to adjust the height. The frame is made of 3/16" angle iron and rock solid. It can be mounted on any sturdy vertical surface such as post(s), or against the house. Since some metal-cutting and welding are involved, the plans, construction seqence, and bill of material are carefully composed to enable you to easily subcontract the metal cutting and welding to a local iron-working shop. The shop will furnish you with all parts ready to paint and assemble.
