When you are surfing the Web, you come across many Web sites with many different kind of moving effects. One of the most popular is the "Mouse Rollover". When the image is "rolled over" by the mouse pointer, the image is changed to a different image, or the text on the image may change color. Up to now, these effects were difficult to create because you had to use a programming language like JavaScript.
Namo WebEditor 3.0's new Script Wizard automatically generates the JavaScript commands for popular effects like the rollover, animation effects, scrolling text, pull-down menus, and more. Now, even beginners can build professional-looking web sites using various JavaScripts created with just a few clicks of the mouse. Whether you are a beginner or expert, you will find Namo WebEditor 3.0's Script Wizard an indispensible tool.
Let's create some rollover and animation effects using the Script Wizard.
(1) Select [Script Wizard] in the [Insert-Script] menu.
(2) Select [Rollover Effect] in the [Script Wizard-Select Script] dialog box, and click the [Next] button.
(3) Enter a name for the rollover effect in the [Name] field, or just accept the default. Enter the location of the first image in the [First Image Location] field and the location of the second image in the [Second Image Location] field. You can browse for both images using the [Browse] button.
If you move the mouse pointer over the image in the [Preview] window, you will see a preview of your rollover effect.
(4) When you click the [Finish] button, the roll over image will be inserted into your document. You can't see this effect in the Edit window. To view it, use the [Preview] window, or view the document in your web browser.
Below is a sample rollover effect created using the Script Wizard.
(1) In the Edit window, select the area to which the animation effect is to be applied. Select [Script Wizard] in the [Insert-Script] menu.
(2) Select [Animation Effect] in the [Script Wizard-Select Script] dialog box.
(3) In the [Script Wizard Animation Effect] dialog box,
(4) Click [Finish] to apply the animation effect to the selected text or image. Just to the left of the image or text, an icon indicating that an animation effect has been applied appears. You can't see this effect in the Edit window. To view it, use the Preview window, or view the document in your web browser.
(5) Let's try applying the animation effect to the title of this article. Do steps (1) through (4) again.
(6) To remove or modify the animation effect, select the image or text to which the effect has been applied, then select [Script Wizard] again in the [Insert-Script] menu. Select the [No Animation] option or modify the value in the [Script Wizard-Animation Effect] dialog box. The animation effect will changed or removed.
