Converting Files

    1 Launch the application.

2 Select 'Open' from the file menu.

3 Using the dialog box, select the mailbox you wish to process*. (See notes as to where to find you mail file below).

4 Type in the name and choose the location where you wish to save the converted data.

5 Mail Convert will create a tab-delimited text file containing all of the fields which you setup. You can import this file into any application you wish. One example would be Filemaker Pro.

Notes

1 The field names you setup must match the field names in the file to be converted exactly.

2 Make sure that you setup the field names so that they will still be unique when you have other data in the form. For example: a name like 'email' probably will not be unique where a name like 'my_email' probably will.

3 The 'Field Names' file must reside in the same folder as the application. Note that there is a space following each of the '=' sign in the list above. This is because the data field name up to the beginning of the data is 'address = '.
