Playing The Game

General

Tanks of Terror consists of 6 units, each with 5 maps and one boss. Each unit has a specific feel. For instance: one might have lots of water hazards and another might be full of ice, another might have funny gravity, and yet another might cause copious amounts of blood to run from your monitor (just kidding.)

In each world, you must complete 7 races to play the boss, and ultimately win the world. You can play the first 3 maps in any order. These are the regular races. Winning these opens up the Tikki version of each of those races, and winning all the Tikki races allows you to play the Gauntlet race.

Regular Races

To win these races, all you have to do is cross the finish line first after 3 laps.

Tikki Hunt Races

Played on the same tracks as the regular races, you must collect all 10 tikkis (by running into them) before completing the 3rd lap, and coming in first.

Gauntlet Race

This is a short track that must be won in a certain number of seconds. There are no laps -- it's a straight run to the finish line. Many obstacles will stand in your way, and the other racers will be there to shower missiles down on you.

Boss Battle

During these battles, your tank is no longer indestructible! Luckily, neither is the Boss' vehicle. There will be two health bars: green for you and red for the boss (or bosses). Bosses take many hits to defeat and have varying strategies. It's important under all bosses to keep moving and pay careful attention to the track radar.

Free Play

After you've won the entire game, you can go back to that save spot and play the entire game on "free play," allowing you to scroll around and play any track or battle, in any mode, just for fun!
