Adding Entries

In order to add an entry to the database, simply click on the Add button or right-click in the grid for the menu.

 Updating Entries

You can either click on the Update button in the main toolbar or double-click on the desired item in the grid.

 Saving Extra Info

You can store extra information for each entry with Password Notebook Plus, including notes, URL, and expiration date. This information is updated automatically after you type it in and move on to the next item. However, you may forget to select an item so that is why the Update Extra Info button is provided. You must use it every time you update either notes or the URL. With the URL entry you can simply hit return to store that information.

 Protecting Your Passwords

Protecting a database with a password is easy. From the Options >> File Password menu, select Set and continue with assigning a password for that file. You will be presented with an option to create an Emergency Access Card, which is explained below.

 Emergency Access Card

Emergency Access Card is a floppy disk that contains the encrypted password to a database. Should you forget the password to your valuable database, you can get back to it by using the Access Card. The Card may be created during the process of assigning a password or from the Options menu, provided that you have a blank floppy disk in your A: drive.

To use the Emergency Access Card, load a file. When the program asks for the password, insert the diskette and press Use Emergency Access Card. You are in!
