This is the section of the General Medical Council's website from where you can check a doctors registration and qualification details. A useful tool that can help to ensure your doctor is properly qualified to practice medicine in the UK.
Complain about health services
GMC - Problem Doctors
This part of the General Medical Council's website tells you exactly what you should do if you experience a problem with a doctor and feel that you wish to make a complaint. It also details the role of the GMC and gives advice about procedures involved.
Health Ombudsman
This is the organisation responsible for dealing with complaints about health services in the UK. The site contains all the information you need to make a complaint and understand all the procedures.
NHS - Patient's Voice
The section of the NHS site that provides details of how to go about making a complaint about NHS services that you have received. It provides sections about the different stages of the processes involved and who you should speak to in each instance.

Compact Law
A very good UK based legal portal that offers free advice and information about a very wide range of different situations. The site is organised into categories within which there is a wealth of relevant and up to date information. Well worth a look.

This is an excellent legal portal that provides free advice and information in a very wide range of different categories. From here you can also access a number of other very good legal sites. Law on the Web is well written, comprehensive and very useful.
The Community Legal Service
The CLS was set up by the government in order to try and ensure that people can get information and help about their legal rights and understand how to enforce them in the right place and at the right time. A very useful site that can be of great use.
Know your medical rights
Advice Guide
Advice Guide gives you basic advice and information on your rights. It can provide you with a broad outline of where you stand and what you can do. Excellent as a first step in understanding your rights.
BBC Healthcare Consumer Rights
The BBC provide this well laid out guide to the health service. It is easy to use and provides a useful guide to many aspects of healthcare services in the UK, including a section on your rights, ethics and the rights and wrongs of healthcare.
NACAB
This is a great website that offers a fantastic service. You can use this site to find out where you nearest citizens advice bureau is and use it to get advice about all sorts of things. There is also information about a range of related issues.
