Please try again. If you continue getting this error, please make sure your Internet connection is working.

"Cannot connect to the server."

Please try again. If you continue getting this error, you are most likely trying to connect to the Internet behind a corporate firewall. If this is the case, you will need to enter your proxy information into the PayPal conduit. Here are the directions:

 

·         Ask your System Administrator for the IP addresses and port numbers for your HTTP Proxy and Secure Proxy.

·         Click on the HotSync Manager icon and select Custom.

·         Double-click PayPal and then click the Firewall Proxy Setup button.

·         Check the Web Proxy box and enter your proxy information.

·         Click OK until you have exited from the HotSync manager to store your proxy settings.

·         Sync your device again.

"Your PayPal ID was rejected by the server."

Please notify PayPal Customer Service. To do so, log in to your account at www.PayPal.com, click on Help and fill out the Contact Us box at the bottom of the page, or you can call 1-800-836-1859.

"PIN change rejected."

You may have changed your PIN too many times in one day. The server should accept your PIN change tomorrow.

"Your PayPal software contains invalid transactions."

Please try again. If you continue getting this error, your device's memory is probably corrupted. Please call PayPal Customer Service at 1-800-836-1859.

"Transactions rejected by the server."

"Server cannot initialize PayPal at this time."

Please restart your desktop computer and try again. If you continue getting this error, please notify PayPal Customer Service. To do so, log in to your account at www.PayPal.com, click on Help and fill out the Contact Us box at the bottom of the page, or you can call 1-800-836-1859.

Please uninstall the PayPal software from your desktop and download the latest version from www.PayPal.com.

Your desktop computer may be out of memory. Please close other applications and try again.

"Cannot launch the PayPal updater."

Please try again. If you continue getting this error, please download the latest version of PayPal from www.PayPal.com and reinstall it on your handheld device.

PayPal cannot connect to your proxy server. Please verify that the information you entered in the Firewall Proxy dialog box is correct. If you are unsure about your proxy information, please contact your system administrator. For more details on how to configure your proxy, please refer to the Readme file.

One or more transactions have been rejected. This could mean that 1) you have tried to spend funds beyond your Total Available (NOTE: You can log in to your PayPal account at www.PayPal.com to verify your Total Available), 2) your credit card issuer has denied one or more of your payments to other people (NOTE: You can contact your credit card issuer to learn the status of your credit card account and verify your current available credit), or 3) the credit card issuer of someone who paid you has denied one or more of that person's payments to you (NOTE: You can contact the person who paid you to settle the matter). Check your PayPal transaction log to learn which transactions have been rejected.
