 Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q: I start ReSysInfo.exe but nothing happens. What's wrong?
A: ReSysInfo is not compatible with your operating system. Perhaps installing the latest service pack helps.

Q: On Win95/Win98 I can export my BIOS. Why can't I do this on Win2000/WinXP?
A: The new Windows systems 2000 and XP don't allow accessing the BIOS that way it is done on Win95/Win98. So, this isn't a bug, it's simple a consequence of the stricter security rules on Win2000 and WinXP.

Q: I want to publish/redistribute your ReSysInfo program. Is this allowed?
A: You may redistribute, press on CD, upload on webservers, etc. the file resysinfo_setup.exe. But you are not allowed to 'customize' ReSysInfo, you are not allowed to make a new installer (read License.html for more).
It would be very nice if you inform me where you are publishing ReSysInfo. Send mail to dominik.reichl@t-online.de.

Thanks for using ReSysInfo!
