Creating a map with C&C Mission Editor is very simple. The instructions that follow are easy to understand and learn and so you will soon realise how simple creating the map terrain is. While you are generating your map you will be able to change the theatre of the mission by selecting a different theatre from the Theatre menu, once you place anything other than map terrain in your map you will no longer be able to change the theatre. |
Menu Selection |
Select the tile set you require from the Terrain menu, the graphics for this set will now be displayed in the terrain section of the window. |

Tool Selection |
Once the set you want is visible you'll need to have either the Pencil or the Eye-Dropper tool selected before you can choose any of the pieces. The Pencil tool is the best to do the next stages with. |

Template Selection |
Now that you have the correct tool you can select a piece ready for positioning on the map. To do this click the template in the terrain section with the mouse, this sets that template to the current object to place. |

Placing a Template |
To place the now selected template go to the map section with the cursor, you will see that the piece you chose is tracked to the cursor. When the piece tracks to the position you want click once to fix it to that position. Continue this process until you have made your map. |
