DragThing Help | Basics
DragThing is fully scriptable and recordable using AppleScript. If you open the Script Editor application that comes with AppleScript and press the record button, any actions in DragThing will cause a script to be generated automatically. If you run this script, the actions will be repeated.
If you save the script and put it in the "DragThing Scripts" folder in the same folder as the DragThing application, it will appear in the Scripts menu in DragThing. A folder of scripts placed in the "DragThing Scripts" folder will appear as a hierarchical menu in the Scripts menu and so on.
Selecting a script from the Script menu will execute the script. If there are any errors while the script is executing, an error dialog will be displayed and give you the opportunity to edit the script.
In addition, if you drag a script file into a dock, opening that item by double-clicking or typing a hot key will cause the script to be executed.
To get a full list of the supported commands and classes, use the "Open Dictionary…" command in the Script Editor application, and select DragThing.
