System Requirements

Recommended System Specifications

Requirements for creating Audio CDs

A CD burner drive is required for creating Audio CDs. Media Digitalizer supports most CD-R, CD-RW and DVD-RW and DVD+RW (Using CD media) drives. Media Digitalizer further supports Burn-Proof technology which prevents most buffer-underrun errors on supported drives.

Sound Card Requirements

Media Digitalizer requires a 100% DirectX® compatible sound card. Most PCI & USB sound cards are supported.

Screen Savers & Power Management

Media Digitalizer will temporarily disable power management settings when recording or burning a CD. However, if you experience problems, try disabling any screen savers, and set power management settings to “Always On”

Using your computer for other tasks while recording

If you’re using a newer computer, there should be no problem using your computer for simple tasks like web browsing while Media Digitalizer is recording.

If you experience any problems with the recording, then you should discontinue use of your computer while recording.

If you are burning an Audio CD with a drive that does not support Burn-Proof, you should not use your computer as even light use can cause the disc to have errors.

Uninstalling Media Digitalizer

Uninstalling Media Digitalizer will delete any custom recording profiles and settings.

Re-Installing Media Digitalizer

If you want to save your Recording Profiles or settings, then don’t uninstall Media Digitalizer before reinstalling. Simply install over the existing installation.
