Command Line Options & Usage
List of available command line options in 3DMark2000The command line automation can do three different things:
1) /savesysteminfo <filename.txt> saves the system information to a text file. If you have problems with 3DMark, you can use this option to save your system information to a text file for analysis by support engineers.
2) /demo <filename.3dp> launches the demo mode with the display resolution and options (looping, sound on/off) that have been saved to the 3DMark project file. You can then for example set your demonstration computer to automatically start 3DMark right after booting up by adding 3DMark with this command line parameter to your Windows StartUp program group. To create a project file for this purpose, just start 3DMark, select custom benchmark, adjust settings to your liking, and save the file. You do not need to benchmark anything, an "empty" project file will do fine.
3) /batchrun <filename.brs> is a way to automate the testing in your lab. Start 3DMark, go to batch run, configure the test run (which resolutions, which tests, where to save results) and from batch run wizard step 4 click on "Save Settings" to save a *.brs configuration file. Next, integrate this into your testing environment so that 3DMark starts automatically when you boot up the computer. (Only available in 3DMark2000 Pro)

Taking Screenshots
You can easily take screen shots for publishing or comparison by pressing F12 at any time when running the program. All screenshots are automatically captured and stored into your installation directory as sequentially numbered .bmp files. For example:C:\Program Files\MadOnion\3DMark2000\shot0001.bmp
Note: Whenever screenshots are taking during the benchmark, results from that current test will be invalidated (as saving the image to disk takes time and would make the result incorrect).
