Cost
IBVIEW is released freeware on the condition that no money is made on its distribution or installation. It may be used freely by any person or organisation, commercial or otherwise.
Credits
Credits for its creation are found within the program.
Function
IBVIEW was written to replace other Interbase utilities that we got sick of using for a variety of reasons - too many bugs, difficult to use, incomplete (requiring constant swapping between three of them to do anything). We use it all the time, it works for us.
IBVIEW is work in progress. The primary extensions to it are what we most urgently need from it. All examination / interrogation functions are complete (except for Metadata, which is coming shortly). After that we will add editing functions that hold your hand.
Installation
Just unzip all files into a directory of your choice (IBVIEW suggested) and make a link to the exe.

There are two command line options so that you can customise links :-
Known Issues
There are some known bugs in the SQL highlighter component. We are waiting for the fixes.
Anything else you find is a bug, please report it. If a feature is not working properly or is incomplete - its probably because we do not have the examples necessary... so feel free to send us some metadata to create it
