- What is
JAnimation?
JAnimation is a new form of animation for the internet. It gives you a tool
for creating compact and fast animation presentations or banners using Java's
vast capabilities, instead of the regular huge and slow animated GIF files.
It uses a simple protocol called JAN to deliver all the necessary data for
Java to display the animation.
You can view some of our JAnimation samples in the Sample JAns section, and even more samples can be found in our site.

- Why should I
use animation in my site?
64% of webmasters saw an
increase in site traffic as a
result of including multimedia on
their site, and almost 40% saw
an increase in the average length
of visits!
JAnimation is so small,
that visitors won't have to wait for the
animation to load.

- What are the
benefits of using JAnimation?
- JAnimation is simple & easy to create,
no need for experience with graphics
or animation. Anyone can create his own
JAnimation piece of art in a few
minutes!
-
Using JAnimation on your site means that more
people will visit it, and more
people will come back again.
The JAnimation is so small, that in the moment
someone enters your site, the
code immediately loads the animation.
No more time consuming banners!
-
JAnimation gives you the possibility to
catch the viewers eye with dazzling
animation (which a normal GIF cannot provide),
while keeping the waiting time
amazingly short (what animated GIFs
CERTAINLY do not provide).
-
Using JAnimation means you are using the latest
technologies on the internet
today, doing the maximum to please
your visitors.

- Can I use
small GIFs ("sprites")
or shapes ("vector
graphics")?
Currently no. Remember that the
basic idea behind the JAnimation
is to capture the viewer's
eye FAST. The JAN protocol
currently supports only
basic kinds of animation - using
text, colors, fonts, size, and
moves. Even so, great animation
sequences can be created, just take a look at the samples and see what can be done with text animation.
Soon: Version 2.0
of JAnimation will supports GIFs insertion and other
special effects.

- What about a Mac Version?
Currently there is no Mac version.
However, we are aware to the fact that
there are many designers and private users who prfer the Mac, and would like to
use JAnimation.
We would love to create a Mac version, if we had someone to do it...
Our resources are limited, but we are doing our best :)
