Setting Network preferences

User-Agent string - this is used by Beholder to identify itself on the web (servers often track what type of program is making requests). For example, some sites may refuse to talk to browsers other than Internet Explorer. If that is the case, you can change the string manually or select Internet Explorer from the popup menu to use a default setting.

Idle connection timeout - the number of seconds to wait before Beholder decides that a web server is not responding. Increase this value if you often find yourself reloading timed-out thumbnails and images.

Network error retries - the number of times to retry if a network failure occurs. Increase this value if you often find yourself reloading failed thumbnails and images.

Thumbnail download limit - the maximum number of thumbnails to download simultaneously. If you have a lot of bandwidth, you may want to increase this number to speed up how fast a page of results is returned. If you have a dial-up connection, you may want to decrease this number. Note: if you use DHCP and your router or ISP is limiting your simulatenous connections, you many want to set this number to its minumum setting (1 connection).
