Will the about boxes which are shown on application start disappear when using a commercial version?
Yes, there will be no about boxes anymore if the application has been created with a registered version of BrowserBob. Creations made with a trial version will not show any about screen anymore as soon as you are using a purchase version of BrowserBob. You will not lose any work.

Using a purchased copy of BrowserBob, you can build a fully branded application without any visible reference to the BrowserBob authoring environment.

Also the info screens, which show up when you test your project in a trial version will not appear in a registered version.

Can I reuse project work from previous versions of BrowserBob?
Yes, starting from BrowserBob 2, you can just open your old projects in the new version. You do not even need to export the project from the old version. Just open the *.bb file, given that your source graphics are still where they used to be.

In order to find your project as a template on the New project screen, you might want to export and import again.
 

For versions older than 2.0 you need to recreate the application from your artwork - but as you know it's quick and easy to do...

Will applications made with BrowserBob be running on every computer?

Yes on every Windows system. Applications made with BrowserBob can independently run on any PC as long as a Windows system is installed. In case of Win95 Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher needs to be installed. On all other systems the necessary components are included in the operating system, no matter what browser is used or installed. Therefore BrowserBob applications are browser independent, they will run on any Windows PC. The operating system components used by the applications are always installed by default, as they are used by many programs, like the Windows Explorer, MS Word, etc..

Will finished applications work in the future, with new Windows versions? Yes definitely. All required components are installed on every windows system. A lot of programs are using these components, they are com-objects and per definition upwards compatible in the future. Microsoft guarantees this.

Do BrowserBob applications run with Firefox?

Yes. No matter what users of BB applications are using for web browsing, BrowserBob applications will run on their systems without problems. BrowserBob applications are browser independent, as long as a Windows operating system is installed.

Does Internet Explorer need to be installed?

Not at all! BrowserBob as well as applications created with BrowserBob can run independently on any Windows system - no matter what browser is used as standard or installed...

BrowserBob app's/browsers will even run if no browser is installed at all, as the components needed for browsing functionality are an integrative part of any Windows operating system... (from Win 98 upwards).

Is it safe to connect to the internet with BrowserBob applications? Yes, it is as safe as you specified in the internet options of your operating system. BrowserBob browsers are using exactly the same security options as specified there. No need to change anything or make double specifications. It's as safe as using your standard browser. BrowserBob applications do not need their own security updates, as they are using system functionality. If the user system is up to date with Windows Update, security of BrowserBob applications is up to date as well.
