Advanced RSHUT Pro management

RSHUT Pro You can quickly assign the time when RSHUT Pro will start execution of currently selected shutdown event. For this you should enter the time in the time field (below START and CANCEL buttons) and check 'Automatically shutdown at:' option. Notice that the icon in system tray will be blink with a small dot in this case.

For all shutdown actions RSHUT Pro does you can specify shutdown timeout. By default it has zero value. RSHUT Pro uses this timeout in the following way: this time (in seconds) specifies a countdown timer and when it expires shutdown action is executing.

When the shutdown action is scheduled the actual command sent in a specified time minus this timeout, i.e. shutdown time is decreased internally by this timeout. So actual shutdown time will be the same as specified in scheduler.

Shutdown dialog When you start any shutdown action you'll see the shutdown dialog over all windows in the system that displays the shutdown action, remaining time, computer and username who has initiated this event and optional message. This dialog cannot be closed and only can be cancelled with CANCEL command. (Note, to reboot remote computers they should accept remote requests).

Client options
Client options
When RSHUT Pro is installed as a client it provides communication with RSHUT Pro server. The first major thing you can use is a password. This have two means: protect local access to RSHUT Pro client options; the only RSHUT Pro server on the network with the same password can operate this client.

For the client enable or disable accept remote shutdown commands check the appropriate box in the options. Herewith you can specify to prompt for incoming commands. If this option is checked each remote request will popup the following window:

Shutdown remote request

so the request can be accepted or cancelled by client manually. After expiration of default timeout this window will accept the request by default if none selected.

Client options
Server options
RSHUT Pro server have the same options as a client, such as 'Accept remote shutdown commands' and 'Prompt for incoming command'. Password have a little different functionality - it is used to send remote commands to the clients that is protected by the password, this password is not used to protect server locally.

Other useful option is 'Set display state'. If this option is enabled RSHUT Pro will 'shut off' monitor whenever it executes start command, either initiated locally or remote. And when RSHUT Pro receives remote command to stop shutdown progress it 'wakes up' monitor.

Log Messages
Logging messages
When all computers on the specified computer list are processed RSHUT Pro displays result of the execution. You can turn this feature off with 'Work silent' option and enable logging messages.

Log keep all queries for local and remote computers and the result of its execution. Each record in the log shows what the action was, which computer initiated the action, what computer was a destionation for the action and the time of the action.

Press 'Messages' button in the main windows to access log messages.

Advanced Timing Settings
Using scheduler
Along with main shutdown time you can specify time for each day of week with 'Advanced timing settings'. For each of the day you can specify two events to be executed at specified time. To access 'Advanced timing settings' press 'Advanced' button in the main window. To enable or disable any event in the window use checkboxes near each of the day.

Also here you can set hotkey that will start selected shutdown action for the computers immediately with current timeout.

Corporate Advanced Timing Settings Corporate license comes with more advanced events scheduler. That allows divide computers into logical groups (each computer can be a member of some groups) and schedule events for the groups. Each schedule record specifies action to be executed in specifed day of week (or each day) and time. Each record can be temporarily disabled or enabled.

Also you can customize password for each group to send along with remote commands.
