This tutorial will show you how create a screen saver using the images in an album. The tutorial uses the images located in the Samples/Travel album. To print this tutorial, click the Print button on the help window.
The tasks you will perform in this tutorial are:
Selecting the album that contains the images for the screen saver.
Rotating an image.
Setting the images in the album as your screen saver.
Selecting image transitions.
Fitting the images to the screen.
On the Browse tab, navigate to the samples album located in C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Photo Album\ Samples\ Travel.
Notice that the image of the bird needs to be rotated. Let's rotate the image so it displays vertically on screen. Select the image of the bird, and then click the down-arrow on the Rotate button and choose Rotate Right.
To save the images in the album as a screen saver, choose Share > Set Images as Screen Saver.
A confirmation window displays. Click Yes to set the images in the album as your screen saver.
To configure the screen saver options, right-click on the Windows desktop, and choose Properties to display the Display Properties dialog.
Click the Screen Saver tab on the Display Properties dialog.
Click the Settings button to open the Screen Saver Options dialog. From the Image Transitions drop-down list, select the Cover Left transition.
To have the images fill the entire screen, mark the Fit to Screen option in the Show Pictures group box.
Click OK to apply the settings and return to the Display Properties dialog.
Click the Preview button to view the screen saver.
Click OK to close the Display Settings dialog.
Note
If you do not want to use the screen saver that you created in this tutorial, then choose another screen saver, or choose None from the Screen Saver drop-down list on the Display Properties dialog.
