Connections
Panel
- Timeout connection
attempts after '#' sec. - This lets you specify how long for iGetter
to wait for a server to respond to a request. If, after that timeout period
the remote server doesn't return any response, iGetter will retry the connection.
- Reconnect '#' times
- This field determines how many times iGetter will try to reconnect after
receiving an error.
- Timeout reconnecting
'#' sec. - Here you can enter the number of seconds of delay before
reconnecting after receiving an error.
- Rollback '#' KB
- iGetter uses the rollback method to retrace some bytes of your file download
before resuming. This method is used to avoid data errors in the file if a
connection is interrupted. If you aren't sure what to put here we recommend
you leave this field as is.
- Test connection status
- When you use a modem to connect to the Internet this option will tell
the iGetter to determine if the connection is online or the modem is disconnected.
If this option is ON, iGetter will not retry downloading the files in progress
until the modem connection is resumed. Otherwise, iGetter will retry downloading
(Reconnect: '#' times) even when the modem is disconnected.
- Reconnect if no data
received for the last: '#' seconds if the server supports resuming, or '#'
seconds if the server doesn't support resuming. - These fields determine
the timeout for reconnecting an FTP or HTTP connection if iGetter doesn't
receive a data response from the servers.
