  .: Introduction
  BackupToDVD is a scheduler for CopyToDVD. Thanks to these two powerful tools, you'll be able to schedule backups for valuable data in a couple of clicks!

  The power of this software is its simplicity. It runs as a background utility and when it detects that a backup has to be done, it shows up a reminder to notify that it is ready to perform the planned backup.


  .: Requirements
  BackupToDVD is a scheduler for CopyToDVD. It only requires CopyToDVD to work. CopyToDVD is available from VSO's web site. Before using BackupToDVD, ensure that you're using the latest version of CopyToDVD for best performance.


  .: Scheduling tasks
  1. Adding / Editing a task
    Adding a new task or editing an existing task is easy. Just click on the appropriate button in the "commands" panel.

    This will display a new window, called "Task Editor" which allows you to setup the task's name and the periodicity of the backups. You can also choose the folders to be backed up.


  2. Removing a task
    Removing a task is easy. Just pick up the task you want to delete in the list and click on the "delete" button.


  3. Forcing immediate backup
    If you want a backup to be done immediately, bypassing the check done by BackupToDVD, simply select the task in the list and click the "Backup Now" button.


  .: Settings
To change the preferences, use the "Options > Preferences" menu. The "Settings" dialog will appear with various settings that you can customize.
  1. Load at startup
    If checked, BackupToDVD will be loaded automatically at startup. In this mode, it starts minimized as a system tray icon:
  2. Check and Close
    If checked, BackupToDVD will be loaded automatically at Windows startup, but if no backup has to be done within the current day, BackupToDVD is closed automatically.
