General Options

Auto Indent  

This option lets you retain the alignment of command lines once you have pressed Enter, to insert a line break. Alignment involves aligning all command lines so that they are equally indented. This alignment is only activated in the Edit Window. If the option is disabled, the new line will be displayed in the first column in the Edit Window.

To modify the alignment, use Align right or Align left in the Editor menu.

Smart tabs 

When this box is not checked, tabs (TAB key) will be equal to the first occupied space in the previous line.

Small fill  

This option changes the behavior of Auto Indent by only considering the smallest possible number of characters, and only using tabs and spaces when required. 

Use TAB character 

Automatically replaces a group of spaces by a tab.

Show non-printable characters  

This option shows characters that are not usually displayed in the Edit Window (space, tab, etc.).

Word wrap 

Establishes a right margin, for wrapping lines that are too long.

Double-click word select 

Double-clicking on this option in the Edit Window selects an entire word.

Cursor beyond end of lines 

This option lets you place the cursor beyond the space where a line would normally wrap. Line wrap must be enabled for this option to work.

Focus on current line 

Inserts a border around the line on which your cursor is. 

Unlimited Undo/Redo 

Keeps all operations in memory, enabling an unlimited number of Undo and Redo operations in the Editor toolbar.

Activate Syntax Highlighting 

This option displays the color of items (comments, tags, etc.) in the Edit Window. This option works in conjunction with the colors defined in the Color Tab (Preferences) in the Edit Window. This option is helpful when you need to draw a distinction between text and items. When this option is disabled, all items in the window (codes, rules, text) will be displayed in black and white.

Mark wrapped lines 

This option displays a star in the margin of the Edit Window for each wrapped line.  Wrapping lines only affects the Edit Window; it has no impact on the resulting Web page.

Wrap column 

This zone will be useful if you show wrapped lines. It lets you decide at which column you want the line to wrap. Enter a number corresponding to the number of characters.

Show wrapped lines 

This option leys you display wrapped lines in the Edit Window. Selecting it enables you to view an entire command line without using the horizontal scroll bar.

Printing Options

Wrap long lines 

This option lets you wraps overly long lines.

Print line numbers 

This option lets you number all of the lines in a printed document.

File name in header 

When this option is activated, the name and address of the HTML file will be printed in the upper left corner of the document.

Date in header 

When this option is activated, the print date will be printed in the upper right corner of the document.

Page numbers 

When this option is activated, the printed document will include page numbers.

Print in color 

This option lets you print the Edit Window in color. You can then identify tag colors on your paper copy. 

Other options 

Indent step 

This zone lets you specify the indent step (alignment) (in pixels).

Default TAB stop 

This zone lets you specify the size of the alignment between the document left margin and the text line(s), once you press the TAB key.

Tab columns 

This zone lets you specify under which column text should begin (alignment), once you press the TAB key.
