Census data is confidential and is not available to the public for seventy-two years following the year it's taken.

The most recent census available to the public is the 1920 census. You can, however, request more recent census data for a deceased relative. Requests may be submitted on Form BC-600, which is supplied by the Bureau of the Census, P.O. Box 1545, Jeffersonville, IN, 47131.

One last note: while looking through past censuses, you may find one missing: the 1890 census. A fire in the National Archives destroyed much of the information in 1921.
