Web Console

You have just clicked the graphic representing web console. The web console displays all online and offline managed servers. You use the web console to view detailed system, volume, and partition information about each managed server.

You can install the web console on the same machine as the web server.

See Part 1 of the user guide for more information about each component that is installed.

After ControlCenter ST has installed successfully, you must use the Microsoft Internet Services Manager to configure a web site to display the HTML pages correctly.

  1. Create a new web site for ControlCenter ST.

  1. Set the “Home Directory” of the web site to the path that you specified as the web site home directory during the install.

  1. Edit the Properties of the PQCGI folder under the web site. Set the execute permissions of this directory to run “Scripts and Executables.” For security, you should revoke the “Read” permissions for this directory.

  1. Edit the Properties of the PQHTML folder under the web site. Set the execute permissions of this directory to “None.” Give this directory “Read” permissions. For security, you should probably revoke all other permissions.

  1. Edit the Properties of the web site.

  1. Click on the Documents tab. Remove all items listed in “Default Documents.”
