What is the WebSurfer Sampler?

The WebSurfer Sampler is an excerpt of NetManage's award winning Chameleon TCP/IP for Windows application suite -- the most widely used Windows Internetworking software in the world. With the Sampler, you can connect to a TCP/IP network (for example, the Internet) with any analog modem at up to 19.2k baud speeds. You can then browse hyperlinked multimedia documents in the popular World Wide Web with this WebSurfer application. View pages of news, company information, storefronts, and entertainment. NOTE: For the clearest display of images with WebSurfer, you should install a 256 color VGA graphics driver or better. The Sampler's TCP/IP communications stack which allows your computer to connect to the Internet is compliant with the WinSock 1.1 standard. WinSock is based on the original NetManage TCP/IP product specification which was contributed by NetManage to the standards body.

The company provides free courtesy support to users of the Sampler, however we hope that people intending to use our software for production use will take advantage of the special upgrade offer to purchase the full and most recent version of Chameleon or Internet Chameleon with maintenance and support. The company reserves the right to limit the amount of free support provided for the Sampler.
