Introduction
The RegSupreme's main function is to clean up the Windows registry,
this is done by using the main program window. To start the
cleaner simply click the Start button which is located in the
center of the window.
Functions
New scan - Allows you to do
a new registry scan. Doing so will clear the results of any
previous scan.
Backups... - Shows the backup
tool which allows you to restore the backups created by RegSupreme.
Fix - Allows you to fix the
selected items. The fixing procedure first tries to solve the
problem by automatically correcting the invalid entry, if this
fails to do so it will remove the invalid item.
Close - Closes the program.
More functions under the Right Click menu
To access the right click menu use your mouse's right button
to click some item in the registry cleaner's list of found items.
Select - Selects the item(s).
Unselect - Unselects the
item(s).
RegEdit - Opens Windows' RegEdit
in the specific registry key. Note: This will only work on Windows
2000 or newer operating systems. Using this feature in any older
systems, such as Windows 98, will just open the RegEdit but
not in the specific key.
Select all - Selects all items
in the list.
Select none - Unselects all
items in the list.
Select inverse - Inverts the
selections, I.e. the selected items will become unselected and
vice versa.
Basic usage
To clean up your computer's registry, simply start the program,
click the Start button to start the registry scan. Wait while
it works and after that select all items and click the Fix button
from the lower right corner of the window. The program automatically
creates backup from all data it modifies or removes.
The different scan options define how deep scan the RegSupreme
does. The normal scan is the fastest and the most safe one.
Warning
Using the registry cleaner of RegSupreme can damage your computer,
in such case you might even have to reinstall your operating
system. This kind of situation is rather theoretical but still
possible, if you do not know how to recover your computer from
such state you should not use any registry cleaning program.
Using the Aggressive scan option also clears all detected MRU (most recently used) data, such as last opened lists of Microsoft Office, for example. If you don't wish these items to be removed don't use the Aggressive mode.
