Ignored Files

Options Junk Files / Ignored Files page indicates which files must be excluded from the Disk Cleaner's search results as they are knowingly useful. These are mostly backup files and service files of Windows and some other widespread programs.

The page offers a default list of Ignored Files. Make sure that there is a check mark next to those you want to be ignored by Disk Cleaner; remove the mark next to those you are sure must be processed (please do this after a thorough consideration).

You can use the buttons under the list to add new Ignored Files, modify existing ones or delete them. The wild characters * and ? can be used to define a set of files. Please note that you don't have to delete a file just to exclude it from the list of Ignored ones; instead, you can simply remove the check mark from the box next to it.

The button Default restores Disk Cleaner's default settings for this feature, including recovery of the items deleted by you and deletion of the ones added by you.
