Before you can connect to an ftp server an FTP session must be created for that FTP server. Open the FTP session window by selecting the FTP Connections menu option under the View menu or by pressing [COMMAND]+F. Select the New Connection button. A session data window will appear. Enter the necessary data for the FTP server you want to connect to. The Session field is the name that will appear in the session window. The Remote Dir and Local Dir fields are not required to connect to the FTP server. If you enter a remote directory into the session, whenever you connect using that session BeCommander will automatically change to that directory after a successful connect. Finish creating your session by clicking OK or pressing [ENTER].
The session you just created will now appear in the session windows list box. Now you can open an FTP connection by either double clicking on the session in the list box or select the item then click connect.
Select the Disconnect menu option under the View menu or press [COMMAND]+[SHIFT]+F.
BeCommander has NOT been tested with all the FTP servers out there. If you have a problem please let us know about it..
