What is Java Web Start?

You can use the Java Web Start application included with Mac OS X to run Java Web Start applications you download from the Internet.

When you open the Java Web Start application, you see the "Welcome to Web Start!" application. This application provides information about using Java Web Start and some examples.

To run the "Welcome to Web Start!" application, select it in the Application Manager window and click Start.

If you don't see the "Welcome to Web Start!" application in the window, choose Remote Applications from the View menu.
