I can't send a file to a Bluetooth device
If you are having trouble sending a file to a Bluetooth device, try the following:
- Make sure the other device is Bluetooth enabled, is turned on, and is within range.
- Make sure the two devices are paired. Open System Preferences and click Bluetooth. Click Devices. Select the device you want to send the file to in the Bluetooth Devices list and check the status of the device.
- If the devices are not paired, make sure they are discoverable, and then choose "Set up Bluetooth device" from the Bluetooth status menu in the menu bar. Follow the onscreen instructions to pair with the other device.
- If the devices are paired, try deleting the pair, and then pair with the device again. To delete the pair, open System Preferences and click Bluetooth. Click Devices, select the device in the Bluetooth Devices list, and click Delete Pairing.
- Make sure you have permission to send a file to the device. It may require authentication. Check with the owner of the device.
