Uploading Images and Files

To add a picture to a post:

  1. Choose Insert Image or FileÉ from the HTML pulldown menu in the toolbar.
  2. The Images & Files window appears. Click the Choose FileÉ button and choose the file you want to upload.
  3. Choose the weblog you want the file to go to in the Weblog popup menu.
  4. Choose a folder for the file in the Path text field. This tells the weblog system in what sub-folder to place the file.
  5. Choose how you want the image alignedÑNone, Left, or RightÑin your post via the Align popup.
  6. Click the Upload & Insert button.

This will upload the image (or file) and insert it into your post. If itÕs an image, it will use an <img src=É> tag to include the image. If itÕs a file, it will insert a link to the file.

Note: You can also drag files directly into the image view in the upper-left corner of the window.

Inserting an already-uploaded picture or file

You may have pictures or files that you want to insert more than once. MarsEdit remembers what youÕve uploaded, so you can insert them again.

With a post window open...

  1. Choose Insert Image or FileÉ from the HTML pulldown menu in the toolbar.
  2. The Images & Files window appears. Click the Previous tab at the top of the window.
  3. In the popup menus at the top of the window, you can choose whether or not to show images, files, or both, and from all weblogs or specific weblogs.
  4. Click on the image or file you want to insert.
  5. Choose the alignment via the Align popup, then click the Insert button.
