Note: The window will be a little different depending on what kind of weblog you have.
Different systems have different features, and MarsEdit morphs depending on the kind of system youÕre using.
Write your post in the main text view. Depending on the type of weblog you have, you may also be able to enter a title and a link.
Movable-type-compatible systems have tabs that allow you to enter extended, excerpt, and keywords.
Click the Options button to open a drawer which may containÑdepending on your weblog typeÑcategories, text filters, comments status, and other options.
The toolbar includes an HTML pulldown menu: choose any command to add an HTML tag to your post.
You can also add custom tags, and you can edit shortcut keys for HTML and custom tags. See Adding custom tags and shortcuts for more information.
You can get an idea of what your post will look like by clicking the Preview button in the toolbar. This will open a separate HTML window showing your post.
You can edit your preview template so that it looks more like your weblog. See Editing your preview template for more.
When youÕre finished writing, click the Post button. MarsEdit will send the post to your weblog.
If it succeeds, it will close the window. If thereÕs an error, it will report it.
