How to Change Editing Colors

By default, editing text is black and the background is white. But it doesnŐt have to be.

If youŐre using a Movable-Type-compatible weblog, you can even set different text and background colors for each of the body, extended, excerpt, and keywords text views. (This helps distinguish which one is current at a glance.)

  1. Choose PreferencesÉ from the MarsEdit menu.
  2. If the Editing tab isnŐt selected, click it.
  3. In the Color for: popup menu, choose the element whose color you want to set.
  4. The color well on the right will display the color for the selected element. Click the color well to open a standard color-chooser window.
