How to View XML-RPC Traffic

MarsEdit communicates with most weblog systems via XML-RPC.

To view the raw text, choose XML-RPC Console from the Window menu.

You can clear the console via the Clear button, and you can save the contents to a file by clicking the Save to File button.

The text will not include your passwords. The console text starts fresh every time you launch MarsEdit.

Why is this useful?

Advanced users may be able to use the raw text to debug server problems.

ItÕs also possible that someone from Ranchero Software may ask you to send an ÒXML-RPC Console dumpÓ if you report to them a problem using MarsEdit. Translated into English, that means theyÕd like to you save the XML-RPC console text to a file (by clicking Save to File) and send them the file as an email attachment.
