We welcome you to The Virtual 3D Exhibition, "In the Light of the Menorah, Story of a symbol". This virtual 3D exhibition is a free adaption of our major exhibition at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem which opened on Israel's 50th Independence Day. This exhibition follows the manifold incarnations and interpretations of the seven-branched candelabrum, from biblical sacred object to national emblem, as represented in items from the Museum's collections of archaeology, Judaica, fine arts, and graphic design. A special section tells the story of the tender for the creation of the emblem of the state. Exhibition made possible by the donors to the 50th Anniversary Fund and also supported by the Central Office of Information, Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
