Here, I would like to put links to quality HTML (and related topics) reference/tutorial material. If anybody has a favourite resource (apart from the HTMLib of course J), that isn't noted here, please let me know (mail to cmlehunt@swan.ac.uk - I'm particularly interested in gathering links to quality CGI/Form handling/JavaScript/Java/Visual Basci Script resources.)
- The W3C
The obvious place to start for all things HTML and Web related (including Style Sheets, HTTPD specifications etc.), the World Wide Web Consortium holds all the specifications and drafts for new specifications.
- The SSI+ specification
Written by Mark West, the continually updated SSI+ spec (a draft of version 2.0 is available) is kept here. NOTE : The SSI+ information contained in the current version of the HTMLib is now out of date, due to the release of the new draft specification.
- The HTML Writers Guild
The HTML Writers Guild Web site is a veritable mine-field of information, with pointers to all kinds of information. Well worth a look.
- Eureka
Run by the fantastically accommadating and hard-working Hans, Eureka has reference material/tutorials on all kinds of stuff. Also available are all of Thies' quality Win-CGI/server-push packages.
- The Barebones HTML guide
The often referenced Barebones guide to HTML. A fine document, available in a number of formats (and languages) that details HTML. Also, there is an excellent resource page (the WWW Help page) at http://werbach.com/wen/wwwhelp.html with loads of links to other resources.
